This past weekend I went with my sister to good ole Caliente. We had a lot of fun going to "Lincoln County Idol," the town picnic, the softball games, BBQing, and all the other things that small towns do over Memorial Weekend. It was totally worth the 7 hour drive @ $4 a gallon! I sometimes wish I still lived in Cali, it really is a cool place. All of my city friends find it ridiculous that I would ever consider moving back there, but I think anyone who has ever lived there is a little reminiscnet of that lifestyle.
On Tuesday, I turned 25, which rounds up to 30! I had an awesome day. Jamin cooked me breakfast in bed, sent me roses, and got me the gift I have been dying for. Then at school, I got sang to like a million times by my students. Little kids are so funny with birthdays! We also went out to a very nice dinner and went and did a couple of things I have been wanting to do for a while. Thanks to everyone who called/text to wish me a happy birthday! It is so nice to be remembered!

So what were the things you had been wanting to do with Jamin. Wink wink...
So when are we going to sushi, birthday girl?
Happy Birthday. Robert wanted me to say "Hi" back.
Happy late Birthday. We were in Panaca this weekend. Too bad I didn't know you were home we could have hung out.
What have you been dying for? What did you get for your birthday?
Sounds like you had a fantastic day!
I have grown to love eagle valley, it's sad but true. The more I watch the news, the more I want to move out there. But we'll have to wait till we retire. P.S. Kevin says Caliente is the hood and Eagle valley is better.
I am so jealous! I wish I would have sent one of my kids with you- we were all feeling mighty homesick for Cali! We were planning on going for graduation, but fuel prices kept us back. Caliente is a great place- we love where we are at but realize we will never have such great friends as we did there! Happy late b-day, and I hope you are enjoying some down time this summer! Tell Kevin that Caliente is the hood because all of the Eagle Valley chumps come that way to cause trouble!! HA! HA!
The shelves are up and fabulous. They are in the living room and one in the bedroom.
How can you just say that he got you what you had been "dying for" and leave it at that? :-)
I agree with you about good ol' Lincoln County. There's just nothing like growing up in a tiny town to make you appreciate good times and fresh air, but city people just can't understand that!
